L3Harris receives $84M in U.S. Army NGC2 manpack radio orders

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has received delivery orders totaling $84 million from the U.S. Army for Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) manpack Falcon systems, according to a press release from the company.

The AN/PRC-158C systems include Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANET) capability and encrypted waveforms. The manpack units will function as part of the NGC2 program's transport layer, which moves information across sensors, weapons systems, and command-and-control networks.

The latest orders represent L3Harris' second award under the NGC2 program. The company received an initial $24 million order in October, bringing the total value of NGC2 orders to $108 million.

The systems support multi-transport gateway requirements, including air-to-ground networking, routing, in-line encryption, and Sensitive But Unclassified – Encrypted waveforms.

"Our Falcon Advanced Data Node gateways are battle-tested, fielded around the world and, with their software-defined architectures, ready for the constantly evolving challenges and threats facing soldiers," said Chris Aebli, President of Mission Critical Communications, Communications & Spectrum Dominance at L3Harris.
