JetBlue adds 8 nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale, more coming

JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) launched eight new nonstop routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) on July 9, 2026, bringing its total to more than 125 daily departures to over 55 nonstop destinations from the airport.

The new routes include service to Baltimore, Charlotte, Nashville, Detroit, Houston, Chicago, Ponce (Puerto Rico), and Cleveland, which began July 8. Six additional destinations are scheduled to launch later in 2026: Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio (both November 2), San Diego (November 19), Barranquilla, Colombia (October 1), Cali, Colombia (October 15), and Caracas, Venezuela (date to be confirmed). The three international routes are subject to government approval.

JetBlue said daily departures from FLL are up more than 75% compared to the same period the prior year, with the airline having added 24 nonstop destinations since December 2025. The carrier expects to reach approximately 150 daily flights from FLL by winter 2026.

The San Diego route will operate as a Mint service beginning November 19, offering lie-flat seating. JetBlue also plans to add Mint flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco from FLL during the winter season.

JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty said the expansion builds on the airline's existing Fort Lauderdale presence. "We're building on our already strong foundation by adding more destinations, creating more connections and giving customers even more reasons to choose JetBlue," she said.

The JetBlue Foundation separately awarded $130,000 in grants to South Florida organizations this year, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County and the Adrienne Arsht Center Trust, directed toward STEM education and youth development programs.
