Hitachi Digital Services partners with ServiceNow on infrastructure AI tool

July 9, 2026 9:02 AM EDT

Hitachi Digital Services announced a partnership with ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) to develop an AI-driven infrastructure monitoring solution targeting the energy, mobility, and manufacturing sectors, according to a press release.

The collaboration advances Hitachi Intelligent Infrastructure Monitoring (HIIM), a solution that integrates data from video, thermal imaging, IoT sensors, and advanced analytics to provide continuous monitoring of infrastructure health. When combined with the ServiceNow AI Platform, the solution aims to convert operational data into automated enterprise workflows.

HIIM is described as manufacturer-agnostic and is designed to compile data from fragmented sources, detect and prioritize issues, and connect operations and enterprise teams. The integration with ServiceNow's Workflow Data Fabric adds AI-driven automation capabilities to the monitoring platform.

"The organizations winning with AI aren't the ones with the most data. They're the ones who can act on it, across teams, in real time, with governance built in," said Chris Bedi, ServiceNow chief customer officer and enterprise AI advisor.

Srini Shankar, CEO of Hitachi Digital Services and President and CEO of GlobalLogic, said the combined solution creates "a real-time, connected operating model that turns insight into action at scale."

The HIIM and ServiceNow platform is positioned as part of the broader HMAX by Hitachi suite, which the company describes as a set of solutions applying AI to social infrastructure management.

Hitachi Digital Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd.
