Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ: BTDR) has broken ground on a 187,000-square-foot electronics manufacturing facility in Sparks, Nevada, representing a $36 million investment covering the plant, equipment, and construction.
The facility, slated for completion by the end of 2026, marks Bitdeer's first domestic manufacturing and assembly operation. The company said the plant is expected to produce 10,000 units of its SEALMINER computing hardware per month and will create 70 jobs spanning engineering, skilled technician, and support roles.
Paul Hanson, Chairman of Bitdeer Industrial, said the facility is part of a strategy to strengthen supply chain resilience and improve responsiveness to domestic customers. "Producing our advanced SEALMINER units right here in Nevada reflects our long-term commitment to building capacity and nurturing the talent necessary to support our growing digital infrastructure operations in America," Hanson said.
The Sparks plant will complement Bitdeer's existing U.S. data centers and its innovation hub in San Jose, California. The company is headquartered in Singapore with U.S. headquarters in San Jose and operates computing centers across the United States, Norway, Bhutan, and Ethiopia.
Taylor Adams, President and CEO of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, said the investment aligns with regional efforts to attract advanced manufacturing and technology development to the area.
