Mizuho analyst Maheep Mandloi reiterated a Neutral rating and $285.00 price target on Bloom Energy Corp. (NYSE: BE)
The analyst comments: “A media outlet affiliated with an investment firm published a short report on 7/8/26. The report makes several arguments, but primarily focuses on Scandium sourcing, reliance on China, limited supply, and also rehashes prior bear takes on Brookfield financing, backlog vs RPO, CFO changes, gas pipeline delays in NM, and the AEP deal.
Bloom Energy is under a quiet period ahead of Q2 earnings call on 7/28, but the company did directly address the short report's claim on Scandium sourcing challenges. The delays the report highlights are mostly customer/permitting-related, and the report misses Bloom's core draw for AI/data-center customers: speed to power, which still makes Bloom attractive in other states with faster permitting. We believe the underperformance on 7/8 is overdone.”
