Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation (NYSE: AP) reported customer order activity of approximately $268 million for the first six months of 2026, up 32% from approximately $204 million in the same period of 2025, according to a press release from the Carnegie, Pennsylvania-based company.
The increase was spread across both of the company's operating segments. The Forged and Cast Engineered Products segment recorded order activity of approximately $153 million, a 25% increase from the prior-year period. The Air and Liquid Processing segment recorded approximately $116 million in orders, up 42% year over year.
Within the Forged and Cast Engineered Products segment, the company cited improving orders for roll products, particularly in North America, and solid demand for specialty forged engineered products. The company also noted that quota and tariff protections in Europe are expected to affect steel production in one of its largest markets.
The Air and Liquid Processing segment's growth was attributed to commercial pumps for the power generation market, increased demand from U.S. Navy programs, and strength in air handling. The company said its Buffalo Air Handling unit secured what it described as the largest air handling equipment order in its history during the first half of 2026.
"The increase reflects improving demand across several of our key end markets and continued execution by our teams," said Brett McBrayer, CEO of Ampco-Pittsburgh.
