AeroVironment stock jumps 7% on investor day outlook

Investing.com -- AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV) shares rose 7% Wednesday morning following the release of presentation slides ahead of its investor day.
The defense technology company outlined financial targets through fiscal 2030, projecting 15% to 20% organic revenue growth and adjusted EBITDA margins of 18% to 20%, representing an expansion of 350 to 550 basis points from current levels.
For fiscal 2027, AeroVironment provided guidance of $2.125 billion to $2.225 billion in revenue, representing 10% YoY growth at the midpoint from fiscal 2026 revenue of approximately $2.0 billion. The company expects adjusted EBITDA of $305 million to $325 million, maintaining a 14.5% margin at the midpoint.
The company plans to increase research and development spending to 7% to 9% of revenue in fiscal 2027, up from 6% in fiscal 2026, and maintain that level through fiscal 2030.
AeroVironment stated its long-term objective is to approximately double revenue by 2030 through organic growth driven by innovation and market expansion. The company’s fiscal 2026 adjusted EBITDA margin stood at 14.5%.
The presentation outlined strategic priorities focused on innovation to drive revenue growth, operational execution, and capturing opportunities to improve profitability. The company emphasized a disciplined growth strategy aimed at delivering sustainable margin expansion alongside accelerated organic revenue growth.
