Spectral AI, Inc. (Nasdaq: MDAI) announced the appointment of Darcy Bajko as Chief Commercial Officer, effective July 31, 2026. Bajko will oversee commercial operations for the global launch of the company's DeepView System for burn indication, which received De Novo Classification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in May 2026.
Bajko joins Spectral AI from MediView XR, where she spent five years in commercial leadership roles, most recently as Vice President of Commercialization and Customer Success. At MediView XR, she was involved in launching three FDA-cleared augmented reality imaging platforms. Before that, she held commercial roles at Smith+Nephew, Integra LifeSciences, and OrthoHelix Surgical Designs.
Chief Executive Officer Vincent Capone said Bajko's near-term priorities include closing the company's first commercial sales by year-end 2026, while longer-term goals include building a sales and marketing organization and driving clinical adoption across burn centers and emergency departments in the United States.
The DeepView System is a non-invasive device that combines multispectral imaging with an artificial intelligence algorithm to assess the healing potential of burn wounds. The system provides an assessment of whether areas within burn wounds are unlikely to heal within 21 days. Image acquisition takes 0.2 seconds, with total processing and classification taking approximately 20 to 25 seconds.
Spectral AI is based in Dallas, Texas.
