Lantern Pharma launches ZetaOmics cancer bioinformatics tool

Lantern Pharma (NASDAQ: LTRN) has launched ZetaOmics, a computational biology module within its withZeta.ai AI platform, the company announced. The tool enters an early-access program with select academic and industry bioinformatics teams and Lantern collaborators ahead of broader commercial availability.

ZetaOmics is described as an autonomous agent that performs multi-omic analysis across cancer types, with an emphasis on rare and pediatric cancers. The module draws on more than 615,000 curated cancer samples across eleven data sources and includes fourteen analytical tools covering functions such as differential expression, survival modeling, drug response analysis, and protein-level validation.

The platform is designed to autonomously assess experimental design, flag potentially flawed comparisons, and select appropriate statistical methods. Each analysis generates a logged audit trail recording which tools ran and which data was accessed.

First outlined in a company roadmap published May 7, 2026, ZetaOmics is being released initially to a limited group of research collaborators whose feedback is intended to guide refinement before wider release.

"For decades, the deepest bottleneck in drug discovery hasn't been data; it has been judgment," said Panna Sharma, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lantern Pharma. "With ZetaOmics, we've worked to encode that judgment into an autonomous agent and make rigor the default."

Lantern said it expects the module to generate subscription revenue and partnership opportunities across academic medical centers, biotech and pharmaceutical research teams, and contract research organizations. The company cited independent analyst estimates placing the broader AI-enabled drug-discovery tools market in the multiple billions of dollars, though it did not specify a source.

Lantern Pharma is a clinical-stage precision oncology company whose existing platform, RADR, has been integrated into withZeta.ai. The company is advancing a pipeline of small molecule and antibody-drug conjugate programs across multiple cancer types.
