Ovid Therapeutics names new CFO and CBO in leadership reshuffle

Ovid Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: OVID) announced several executive leadership changes, including new appointments and internal promotions, according to a press release from the New York-based biopharmaceutical company.

Kevin Norrett will join as Chief Business Officer, bringing more than 30 years of life sciences experience. He most recently served as Chief Business Officer at Soleno Therapeutics, where he led the company's acquisition by Neurocrine Biosciences. He has also held roles at Codexis, Sierra Oncology, Aimmune Therapeutics, Exelixis, and Genentech.

Charles Carter has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer from Senior Vice President of Finance and Financial Planning. He succeeds Jeffrey Rona, who will remain an advisor to the company through 2027. Carter has more than 30 years of experience in finance and previously served as CFO of CERo Therapeutics.

Eliseo Salinas, MD, has moved from a consulting role to the permanent position of Executive R&D Advisor. He has more than three decades of drug development experience and has contributed to 15 international regulatory approvals in neurological and psychiatric medicine.

Victoria Fort has been promoted to Chief Strategy Officer from Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Strategy. Since joining Ovid, she led two financing rounds that the company said extended its cash runway into 2029. She previously served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Affairs at Frontier Medicines.
