Rubrik brings its security cloud to AWS European Sovereign Cloud

Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK) has made its Rubrik Security Cloud available on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, targeting EU public sector organizations and regulated private entities seeking data sovereignty compliance.

The offering is designed for industries including banking, utilities, healthcare, and government, allowing them to use AWS infrastructure while keeping all customer data within the European Union.

According to the company, key capabilities include immutable backups, AI-based security, sensitive data discovery, rapid recovery, and cloud-native SaaS operations. The service is backed by C5 attestation, SOC 2 Type 1, and ISO 27001:2022 certifications, and is intended to align with compliance frameworks including the German Federal Office for Information Security C5 catalogue, the Digital Operational Resilience Act, and the NIS2 Directive.

"By bringing Rubrik Security Cloud to the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, we are expanding our trusted sovereign portfolio, delivering the same immutable protection and recovery certainty to cloud-first teams moving regulated workloads to the cloud," said Mike Tornincasa, Chief Business Officer at Rubrik.

The AWS European Sovereign Cloud is described as an independently operated sovereign cloud with technical controls designed to meet European government and enterprise requirements. The information is based on a press release from Rubrik.
