U.S. military says it is striking Iran over Strait of Hormuz attacks
Investing.com -- The U.S. military has begun a series of strikes against Iran, U.S. Central Command announced on X today. The military action follows Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels traveling through the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command stated the strikes aim to impose costs for targeting and attacking commercial shipping. The military described Iran's actions as unwarranted, dangerous, and a clear violation of the ceasefire.
