Garden Valley Technologies expands Calix platform use after ARPU gains

Garden Valley Technologies (GVT), a member-owned cooperative based in northwest Minnesota, is expanding its use of the Calix One platform by adding the Calix Agent Workforce Cloud, according to a press release from Calix, Inc. (NYSE: CALX).

GVT reported that its investment in Calix products over the past year produced a nearly 8% increase in average revenue per user (ARPU), a 62% take rate across its SmartHome offerings, and an 8x increase in adoption of its "Connected Home" package. The cooperative also reported a 5x increase in SmartBiz adoption among local small businesses in under two years.

The expanded investment will add agentic AI capabilities to GVT's operations, with the cooperative planning to use the technology to automate campaign planning, audience segmentation, and subscriber targeting across residential and business markets.

"Our teams are excited to move even faster, operate more consistently, and deliver relevant experiences across residential and business markets."

GVT has maintained a partnership with Calix for more than 18 years. The cooperative provides free public Wi-Fi across 13 locations and has returned more than $23 million in capital credits to members over the past 15 years.

Calix states that more than 1,200 customers use its Calix One platform, which the company says has been developed over 15 years at an investment of more than $2 billion.
