Whatfix, a digital adoption platform provider, announced a partnership with PTC Inc. (NASDAQ: PTC) to help manufacturers improve adoption of Product Lifecycle Management software, according to a press release issued July 7, 2026.
The partnership focuses on manufacturers using PTC Windchill, a PLM platform, and targets sectors including automotive, industrial equipment, and medical devices. Whatfix will provide in-app guidance, workflow support, and adoption analytics embedded within enterprise applications.
Whatfix cited a commissioned study conducted with Forrester finding that ineffective digital adoption costs mid-sized enterprises an average of $10.9 million annually through lost productivity, process inefficiencies, and underutilized technology.
Khadim Batti, CEO and co-founder of Whatfix, said: "PLM systems are continuously evolving and have become mission-critical to this transformation, but realizing business value depends on how effectively users adopt and operationalize these platforms."
The company claims organizations using its platform across PLM environments can achieve up to 45% faster engineering task completion, 40% faster onboarding, a 30% reduction in data errors, and $300,000 in annual training cost avoidance. These figures were not independently verified.
Whatfix states it serves more than 600 enterprises globally, including more than 80 Fortune 500 companies. The company is backed by investors including Warburg Pincus and SoftBank Vision Fund 2.
