Rivian offers Q2 2026 revenue outlook, cash position grows

July 6, 2026 5:10 PM EDT

Rivian Automotive (NASDAQ: RIVN) released preliminary, unaudited financial estimates for the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, projecting total consolidated revenues between $1.55 billion and $1.65 billion, compared to $1.30 billion in the same period a year earlier.

According to the company's statement, the expected revenue increase is primarily attributed to higher vehicle deliveries, partially offset by lower average selling prices tied to a greater share of commercial vans in the sales mix. The company also cited growth in vehicle electrical architecture, software development services, and regulatory credit revenues as contributing factors.

Rivian also estimated its cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments rose to approximately $5.3 billion as of June 30, 2026, up from $4.8 billion as of March 31, 2026.

The company noted that its financial closing procedures for the quarter are not yet complete, and actual results may differ from the preliminary figures. KPMG LLP, Rivian's independent auditor, has not audited or reviewed the preliminary data.
