Lixte rebrands as Nomad Power Solutions, begins trading as NMAD
LIXTE Biotechnology Holdings, Inc. has completed its corporate name change to NOMAD Power Solutions, Inc., with shares beginning to trade on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the ticker symbol NASDAQ: NMAD. Shares under the previous symbol NASDAQ: LIXT ceased trading at the close of market on July 2, 2026.
The name change follows the company's acquisition of NOMAD Transportable Power Systems, which the company describes as a provider of mobile, utility-grade truck-transportable battery energy storage systems. The company states its patented platforms are deployed on semi-trailers and serve utilities, industrial operators, government agencies, and critical infrastructure providers through equipment sales, rentals, and Energy-as-a-Service offerings.
According to a press release, the company no longer plans to operate in its legacy life sciences market and is exploring options for a sale or merger of those assets. LIXTE previously focused on the development of cancer therapies and medical technologies.
"Our new corporate name marks an important milestone in the Company's transformation, reflecting who we are today and where we are headed," said Geordan Pursglove, Chief Executive Officer.
NOMAD Power Solutions was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.
