Autoliv and Great Wall Motor sign global cooperation agreement

Autoliv, Inc. (NYSE: ALV) and Great Wall Motor (GWM) have signed a Global Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement, according to a press release issued July 6, 2026. The agreement was signed between GWM and Autoliv (Shanghai) Management Co., Ltd in Baoding, China.

The new framework builds on a collaboration the two companies established in 2023. Under the renewed agreement, the companies plan to expand cooperation across global business growth, supply chain collaboration, localized operations, integrated safety systems development, and sustainable growth.

The agreement also includes closer alignment in innovation and product strategies, with a stated focus on supporting GWM's international expansion.

"Today's agreement marks an important step in our continued collaboration with Great Wall Motor. By combining GWM's international growth ambitions with Autoliv's global capabilities in automotive safety, we are strengthening the foundation for an even more integrated and resilient partnership," said Mikael Bratt, CEO of Autoliv.

Jack Wei, Chairman of Great Wall Motors, said: "Safety is the bottom line of the automotive industry. The partnership between Great Wall Motors and Autoliv began with a shared vision and a steadfast commitment to the mission of safety. Now we are strengthening our collaboration and will jointly build the industrial cornerstone of automotive safety and deliver safer Great Wall vehicles to users around the world."

Autoliv reported 2025 sales of $10.8 billion and employs approximately 64,000 people across 25 countries.
