Dole acquires Greenfood's fresh produce unit in Nordic region

Dole plc (NYSE: DOLE) announced that its subsidiary Dole Nordic AB has completed the acquisition of Greenfood AB's Fresh Produce division, expanding the company's operations across Sweden, Finland, and the broader Nordic region.
The deal adds a 26,500 square meter fresh produce distribution facility in Helsingborg, Sweden. According to the company, the site is intended to support investment in warehouse technology, including automation, robotics, inventory management systems, and logistics capabilities.
Niels Klem Thomsen, CEO of Dole Nordic AB, said in a statement: "We are pleased to welcome GFP colleagues to our organisation – a team of skilled people who have consistently delivered value to their customers. Together, we will strengthen our Nordic platform, enhance our customer offering and create a stronger foundation to support growth in fresh produce consumption across the region."
No financial terms of the transaction were disclosed. The information is based on a press release issued by Dole plc.
