Cognizant and Domyn partner on sovereign AI for EMEA markets

Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) and Domyn have announced a strategic partnership to deliver sovereign AI solutions to enterprises across the EMEA region, according to a press release issued July 2, 2026.

Under the agreement, Domyn will supply the AI infrastructure layer, including large language models deployable on-premise or in private cloud configurations. Cognizant will handle application integration, adapt Domyn's models into smaller domain-specific models, build industry-specific agents and applications, and manage data pipeline construction and model alignment for enterprise deployment.

The joint go-to-market strategy targets organizations in the UK and Ireland, DACH, Northern Europe, Southern Europe, and the Middle East, with an initial focus on regulated sectors such as financial services and government.

Manoj Mehta, President of EMEA at Cognizant, said the partnership is intended to give regulated organizations AI capabilities "without compromising on data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, or security."

Uljan Sharka, CEO of Domyn, said Cognizant's enterprise relationships across EMEA would allow Domyn to scale its sovereign AI infrastructure to institutions with demanding compliance requirements.

The partnership cites a Gartner report from February 2026 projecting that geopolitics will drive 50% of cloud AI workloads to sovereign cloud deployment models by 2029, up from 5% in 2025.

Domyn describes itself as a developer of AI systems for regulated industries and states it is building one of the largest AI supercomputers for regulated industries in partnership with Nvidia and the UAE. Cognizant reports holding more than 60 AI patents and operating over 1,500 industry-specific agents.
