Brixmor acquires four shopping centers for $164M in Q2 2026

Brixmor Property Group Inc. (NYSE: BRX) acquired four shopping centers for a combined $164.3 million during the second quarter ended June 30, 2026, according to a press release from the company.
The largest acquisition was Mayfair Shopping Center, a 221,000-square-foot grocery-anchored community center in Commack, New York, purchased for $70.0 million. The deal included approximately $30.5 million in operating partnership units issued by Brixmor Operating Partnership LP and the assumption of approximately $30.5 million in property debt. The company described the transaction as the first time it has used OP units to fund an acquisition.
The company also acquired Jones Crossing, a 163,000-square-foot grocery-anchored center in College Station, Texas, for $46.5 million. The property is anchored by H-E-B and includes approximately 15 acres of undeveloped land.
Vintage Marketplace, a 72,000-square-foot Whole Foods-anchored neighborhood center in the northwest suburbs of Houston, Texas, was purchased for $32.7 million. Stanford Station, a 97,000-square-foot neighborhood center in Panama City, Florida, was acquired for $15.1 million.
On the disposition side, Brixmor generated approximately $15.1 million in gross proceeds from the sale of two shopping centers during the second quarter. For the six months ended June 30, 2026, the company generated approximately $123.0 million in gross proceeds from the disposition of six shopping centers.
Mark T. Horgan, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, said the acquisitions "build on our clustering strategy and provide us additional pathways to create value over time through leasing, reinvestment, and densification."
Brixmor owns and operates 344 open-air shopping centers comprising approximately 62 million square feet of retail space.
