American Honda reports best June sales in five years

Investing.com -- American Honda Motor reported June sales rose 17% to 133,781 units, marking the company's strongest June performance in five years.

The company sold 756,920 units in the first half of 2026, up 2.4% from the prior year period, representing its best first-half and quarterly result since 2021.

Honda brand sales reached 687,205 units in the first half, up 2.5% from a year earlier. June sales for the Honda brand increased 17%, with hybrid models accounting for approximately 30% of total Honda sales. The CR-V hybrid trims made up 51% of that model's June sales.

Honda passenger cars recorded their strongest June, first half, and quarter in five years, with June sales up 28%, first-half sales up 14%, and quarter sales up 20%.

The CR-V ranked as the top-selling SUV in America in 2026, with first-half sales exceeding 226,114 units, up 6% from the previous year. CR-V hybrid models reached 124,017 units in the first half, setting an all-time record.

Passport sales totaled 30,360 units in the first half, a record for the model, with TrailSport trims representing over 80% of Passport sales.

Accord sales increased over 32% in the first half and 41% for the quarter, with hybrid trims accounting for 43% of the model's sales mix.

Acura brand sales grew 13% in June and 2% in the first half to 69,715 units, the brand's best first-half performance since 2023.

The Acura ADX recorded June sales exceeding 3,100 units, up 58%, with year-to-date sales reaching 16,554 units. The model holds approximately 30% of retail sales in its segment.

Integra sales rose 85% in June, with first-half sales up 42% to over 14,000 units. The model maintains over 40% of retail sales in its segment.
