Check Point cloud firewall now available on AWS European Sovereign Cloud

Check Point Software Technologies (NASDAQ: CHKP) announced its Cloud Firewall offering is now available on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, a cloud infrastructure operated independently from existing Amazon Web Services regions and located entirely within the European Union.

The availability is intended to help European organizations meet EU data residency and operational autonomy requirements. Check Point's solution covers network, workload, and application security layers on the platform.

The AWS European Sovereign Cloud is designed for European governments and enterprises subject to EU regulatory frameworks. It operates with the same service portfolio, security, and performance as standard AWS regions, including technologies such as the AWS Nitro System.

"Check Point's Cloud Firewall solution on this independent cloud infrastructure enables our customers to run their most sensitive workloads with operational autonomy and data residency entirely within the EU," said Joaquin Reixa, Vice President of Western Europe at Check Point Software Technologies.

According to a press release statement, customers can begin planning their transition to the AWS European Sovereign Cloud immediately.
