NiCE named launch partner for AWS European Sovereign Cloud

July 1, 2026 3:25 AM EDT

NiCE (NASDAQ: NICE) has been named a launch partner for the Amazon Web Services (AWS) European Sovereign Cloud, an independent cloud infrastructure operating entirely within the European Union, according to a press release from the company.

Through the arrangement, NiCE plans to make its AI-powered customer experience platform available on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, allowing organizations to deploy AI tools while meeting EU data residency and digital sovereignty requirements. NiCE said the solution is intended for organizations in regulated industries including public sector, financial services, and healthcare.

The AWS European Sovereign Cloud operates independently from existing AWS regions and includes the same service portfolio, security, and performance features as standard AWS infrastructure, backed by legal protections designed for European governments and enterprises.

NiCE's planned capabilities on the platform include AI agents, real-time copilots, workflow automation, and AI-powered analytics. The company said its existing sovereign cloud deployments span the EU, United Kingdom, and Australia.

Dorothy Copeland, Chief Partner Officer at NiCE, said the expansion enables European organizations to deploy AI capabilities "on an independent cloud infrastructure located within the EU, supporting their digital sovereignty needs."

Thomas Pöppe, CIO of AOK Bayern, a German health insurer, cited the combination of NiCE's AI capabilities and the AWS European Sovereign Cloud as "a compelling path forward" for meeting data residency and governance requirements.

Oru Mohiuddin, Research Director at IDC, said the pairing addresses "a growing market need" for regulated organizations pursuing AI adoption while maintaining data control within the EU.

The announcement builds on a previously disclosed partnership between NiCE and AWS focused on AI-powered customer service. NiCE did not disclose financial terms of the launch partner arrangement.
