XTEND secures U.S. patent for UAV autonomous navigation tech

June 30, 2026 9:27 AM EDT

JFB Construction Holdings (NASDAQ: JFB) announced that XTEND, its robotics subsidiary, has been granted U.S. Patent No. 12,222,735 covering technology that enables unmanned aerial vehicles to autonomously navigate toward operator-designated objectives in dynamic and unfamiliar environments. Corresponding patent protection has also been granted in Israel.

The patent covers a system that continuously directs an unmanned vehicle toward a user-marked destination independent of surrounding environmental conditions, allowing autonomous systems to adapt navigation while maintaining progress toward mission objectives.

The technology is designed to reduce operator workload during missions in environments that cannot be fully mapped or predicted in advance, including evolving terrain, structures, and obstacles.

According to the company, the patented technology integrates with XTEND's proprietary XOS operating system, which is used to supervise and deploy autonomous robotic systems across air, ground, and maritime domains.

"Autonomy is not simply about moving a robot from point A to point B. It is about translating human intent into reliable mission execution, even in unfamiliar, dynamic environments," said Aviv Shapira, Co-Founder and CEO of XTEND.

As announced in February 2026, JFB Construction Holdings and XTEND entered into a definitive all-stock merger agreement. Following the closing of that transaction, the combined company is expected to be renamed XTEND AI Robotics and listed on a U.S. national securities exchange under the ticker symbol "XTND."
