Teledyne FLIR OEM launches AI ground surveillance software

Teledyne FLIR OEM, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY), has launched Prism Ground ISR, a software stack designed for ground-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.

The software uses AI-driven detection, classification, and tracking of ground targets, including specific military vehicle classes. According to the company, Prism Ground ISR supports up to 15 object classes and can be expanded to additional classes using synthetic data through a companion tool called Prism AIMMGen.

The software combines turbulence mitigation, dehazing, and super-resolution to enhance infrared visibility, and uses separate acquisition and tracking pipelines to support detection and tracking of small or maneuvering targets. It was trained on Teledyne FLIR OEM's real and synthetic electro-optical and infrared data.

Prism Ground ISR runs on Nvidia Orin NX and AGX hardware and is compatible with Teledyne FLIR OEM's Boson+ and Neutrino camera families, as well as select third-party infrared and electro-optical sensors. An SDK is included to reduce integration time.

"By integrating visible and infrared thermal data, including fine-grained military vehicle classification, we are turning raw data into a decisive tactical advantage."

The product follows the earlier release of Prism C-UAS, which is aimed at detecting aerial drone threats. Teledyne FLIR OEM describes Prism Ground ISR as intended for applications including border surveillance, force protection, and defense of critical infrastructure.
