Progress Software (Nasdaq: PRGS) announced that its Chef platform now supports enterprise lifecycle management and configuration capabilities for the Nvidia DGX Spark desktop AI system, enabling IT teams to provision, monitor and manage the hardware at scale.
Nvidia identified Progress Chef as an enterprise manageability partner for DGX Spark deployments and highlighted the collaboration in a developer blog post earlier in June 2026.
Progress Chef Enterprise Management for Nvidia DGX Spark is available immediately at an introductory price of $189 per year per system.
The platform allows organizations to integrate DGX Spark into existing infrastructure operations and automate lifecycle stages including configuration management, fleet-wide monitoring, software updates, compliance validation, role-based access controls, incident response and system retirement.
"As this new class of infrastructure scales, organizations must maintain confidence that every system remains secure, compliant and aligned with its intended state," said Sundar Subramanian, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Infrastructure Management at Progress Software.
Nvidia DGX Spark delivers petaflop-class AI performance in a compact desktop form factor, combining hardware with the Nvidia AI software stack. The system is designed for developers to build, fine-tune and run AI models locally across offices, research facilities, edge locations and regulated environments.
