Castor Maritime acquires two Kamsarmax vessels for $41.9M each
Castor Maritime Inc. (NASDAQ: CTRM) announced the acquisition of two Kamsarmax bulk carrier vessels, both delivered on June 29, 2026, according to a press release from the Cyprus-based shipping company.
The company acquired the M/V Magic Saturn, a 2024-built vessel, for $41.9 million from an unaffiliated third party. It also took delivery of the M/V Magic Jupiter, a 2023-built vessel whose acquisition had been announced on June 22, 2026. Both purchases were funded with cash on hand.
Following the acquisitions, Castor Maritime's fleet comprises 11 vessels with an aggregate capacity of 0.9 million deadweight tons.
