Exicure names two new board directors, expands board to six

Exicure, Inc. (Nasdaq: XCUR) announced changes to its board of directors, effective June 30, 2026, following actions approved at a special board meeting held June 24, 2026.
The board accepted the resignation of Jung Kyu Ham as a director. Jin Young Go was appointed as a Class III director to fill the vacancy left by Ham's departure. The board also approved expanding its size from five to six directors and appointed Eui Seok Han as an additional Class III director to fill the newly created seat.
The board determined that Eui Seok Han qualifies as an independent director under Nasdaq listing rules. The company stated it continues to satisfy the Nasdaq requirement that a majority of its board consist of independent directors.
The board confirmed the composition of its Audit Committee, which consists of Yoon Tae Han as chair, Dongho Lee, and Gyeong Seog Cheon. A Compensation Committee was also established, comprised of Eui Seok Han as chair and Dongho Lee, effective June 30, 2026.
Exicure said it plans to file a Current Report on Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission with additional details regarding these changes.
