Enphase Energy joins Open Compute Project as Platinum member

Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) has joined the Open Compute Project (OCP) Foundation as a Platinum member, according to a press release issued June 30, 2026. The company stated it intends to participate in OCP community efforts to develop open standards for data center power infrastructure, including higher-voltage direct current rack power architectures designed for AI workloads.

The OCP Foundation describes itself as an open-source community that brings together hyperscalers, suppliers, and technology companies to share designs and practices across power, cooling, and networking. The organization currently has nearly 700 member organizations.

Enphase said it plans to contribute its power electronics experience to OCP's power-related projects. The company recently announced the development of its IQ Solid-State Transformer (IQ SST), a distributed architecture intended to support AI data center power conversion. The industry is moving toward higher-voltage DC architectures, including ±400 VDC and 800 VDC, which may require new approaches to AC-to-DC power conversion.

"Open collaboration is essential to solving hard infrastructure problems at scale, and AI data center power is no exception," said Badri Kothandaraman, president and CEO of Enphase Energy. "We believe open standards can help the ecosystem deliver power infrastructure that is more reliable, serviceable, and scalable."

George Tchaparian, CEO of the OCP Foundation, said the organization welcomed Enphase's "decades of power and energy expertise" as the community works to standardize power architectures for AI data centers.
