Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: GILT) announced it has received $43 million in additional orders for its Sidewinder electronically steered antenna terminals from an unnamed major in-flight connectivity service provider.
Deliveries are planned over the next 18 months in both line-fit and retrofit configurations, according to a company statement.
The Sidewinder ESA terminals support operation across multiple satellite constellations and are designed for use in multi-orbit network architectures.
"These significant orders reflect the continued evolution of IFC networks toward high-performance, scalable, multi-orbit architectures," said Mike Pigott, President of Gilat Stellar Blu, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilat. "Sidewinder was designed for this environment, enabling service providers to deliver reliable, high-quality connectivity across diverse routes and increasingly complex network requirements."
Gilat Satellite Networks is based in Petach Tikva, Israel, and provides satellite-based broadband communications through its commercial and defense divisions.
