Edwards Lifesciences presents new structural heart data at NY Valves

Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE: EW) presented new clinical data at the New York Valves 2026 conference covering aortic, mitral, and tricuspid therapies, according to a company press release.

Baseline characteristics from the PROGRESS trial were shared ahead of a full clinical presentation planned for the TCT conference later this year. The trial is designed to evaluate whether patients with moderate aortic stenosis (AS) and at least one risk factor may benefit from transcatheter aortic valve replacement earlier than current guidelines recommend. Among the trial's enrolled patients, more than 95% were symptomatic, more than 70% had two or more at-risk features, and the mean age was 78 years. Trial design details were recently published in the American Heart Journal.

Seven-year durability data from the PARTNER 3 trial, evaluating the Sapien 3 platform, were also presented and simultaneously published in JAMA Cardiology. New findings from the EARLY TAVR trial were presented as well.

On the mitral and tricuspid side, data from more than 4,500 patients treated with the Pascal system were drawn from the STS/ACC Transcatheter Valve Therapy Registry, examining outcomes in patients with mitral regurgitation. One-year data from the ENCIRCLE trial Mitral Annular Calcification Registry addressed the Sapien M3 system in patients with symptomatic valve dysfunction associated with mitral annular calcification who were deemed unsuitable for surgery.
