ITC rules against Voltage in Shoals patent case, issues import ban

Shoals Technologies Group (Nasdaq: SHLS) announced that the U.S. International Trade Commission affirmed an Administrative Law Judge's ruling that Voltage, LLC violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by importing infringing LYNX trunk bus products into the United States.

As part of the final determination, the ITC issued a limited exclusion order restricting Voltage's ability to import the infringing products. The case now enters a 60-day presidential review period. During that period, Voltage must post a bond equal to 100% of the entered value of any infringing articles it seeks to sell in the U.S. market.

Shoals, based in Portland, Tennessee, designs and manufactures electrical infrastructure solutions for utility-scale solar, battery storage, and data center power systems. The company recently announced the grand opening of a facility it calls its Mega facility in Portland, Tennessee.
