Greenland Mines holds technical workshop for Skaergaard project

Greenland Mines Ltd (Nasdaq: GRML) held a three-day planning workshop from June 22–24 for its Skaergaard Precious and Critical Metals Project in southeast Greenland, according to a company press release.

The workshop brought together more than 15 international experts from GTK Mintec, the Geological Survey of Finland, SLR Consulting, and WSP Denmark, alongside the Greenland Mines team.

Sessions covered geological modeling, metallurgical test work, a 2026 drilling and sampling program, environmental baseline studies, tailings and process water management, mine engineering scenarios, logistics, and permitting pathways.

The company said outcomes include an updated integrated plan for the 2026 drilling and sampling campaign, a refined strategy for metallurgical test work and flowsheet development, a framework for incorporating geotechnical and environmental data into mine design, and a roadmap toward an Initial Assessment or Preliminary Economic Assessment, with subsequent steps toward a potential exploitation license.

Greenland Mines also holds a biotech division that includes a treatment under development for ALS, and is pursuing a previously announced transaction to acquire the Sarfartoq neodymium-praseodymium rare earths project in southwest Greenland.
