ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) announced the development of a new AI-enabled camera system with integrated LED lighting for its ZenaDrone IQ Nano autonomous indoor drone platform, according to a company press release.
The 155-gram camera module was designed and manufactured by ZenaTech's Spider Vision Sensors subsidiary in Taiwan. The system is intended to improve drone performance in low-light indoor environments for inventory management, security, inspection, and defense logistics use cases.
First prototype units are currently being tested at ZenaTech's ZenaDrone facility in Sharjah, UAE. The company said it is producing an additional 20 to 30 units to support expanded trials and future deployments.
The IQ Nano platform is designed to operate in GPS-denied and confined environments. It is equipped with HD or thermal imaging, autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, and AI-powered anomaly detection. The drone can be deployed individually or as part of a coordinated fleet.
"By combining advanced imaging, integrated LED illumination, and AI-driven analytics, we are improving operational visibility, data accuracy, and decision-making in challenging dimly lit indoor warehouse environments," said Dr. Shaun Passley, ZenaTech CEO.
Target applications include barcode scanning and asset tracking in warehouses and armories, as well as surveillance of command centers and restricted facilities. ZenaTech stated the platform is designed for both commercial and defense customers.
