KBR (NYSE: KBR) has named Michael LaRouche as President and Chief Executive Officer-Designate and Nicholas Veasey as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer-Designate of the planned spin-off of its Mission Technology Solutions business, according to a press release.
LaRouche is set to join KBR on September 24, 2026, and Veasey will join on July 1, 2026. The spin-off is expected to be completed on January 4, 2027, at which point both will assume their full titles at the new independent company, referred to as SpinCo. The company's name and brand identity are expected to be announced next month.
LaRouche currently serves as CEO of Serco North America and previously held a sector president role at SAIC. He has also held senior positions at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. He holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Colorado.
Veasey most recently served as CFO of MAG Aerospace and previously held a vice president role at Booz Allen Hamilton covering treasury, M&A and investor relations. Earlier in his career, he worked at Deutsche Bank and The Carlyle Group. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and holds degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy and Georgetown University.
SpinCo is expected to launch with more than $5 billion in annual revenue, approximately 20,000 employees, and operations across national security and space markets. Following the separation, KBR will retain its Sustainable Technology Solutions business under current leadership.
The planned spin-off is intended to be tax-free to KBR and its shareholders for U.S. federal income tax purposes and remains subject to regulatory approvals and final approval by KBR's Board of Directors.
