June 24, 2026 4:08 PM EDT

The Charles Schwab Corporation (NYSE: SCHW) disclosed the results of the Federal Reserve's 2026 Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), showing the firm's Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) ratio stood at 26.3% as of March 31, 2026, well above the regulatory minimum of 4.5% combined with a stress capital buffer (SCB) of 2.5%.

The Federal Reserve's CCAR assessed Schwab's minimum capital ratios under a supervisory severely adverse scenario over a nine-quarter period beginning December 31, 2025 and ending March 31, 2028. Earlier this year, the Federal Reserve voted to maintain current stress capital buffer requirements until 2027, leaving Schwab's SCB at the 2.5% minimum.

Schwab reported a consolidated Tier 1 Leverage Ratio of 8.9% at the end of the first quarter of 2026, down from 9.3% at year-end 2025.

CFO Mike Verdeschi said, "Our CCAR results highlight the strength of Schwab's capital position and diversified business model. Our principles-based approach to managing the balance sheet establishes a foundation of safety and soundness from which we support our clients' evolving needs across different environments and deliver profitable growth through-the-cycle."
