Visa and Evo strike multi-year partnership through early 2028

The Evolution Championship Series (Evo) and Visa (NYSE: V) have announced a multi-year partnership running through early 2028, aimed at expanding fan experiences and enabling cross-border commerce at Evo's global fighting game tournaments.

The partnership launches at Evo Las Vegas, held June 26–28, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Planned activations include a Friday Night Showdown exhibition match in Street Fighter 6 featuring content creators Tyler "Tyler1" Steinkamp and Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahgren, hourly open-bracket Flash Tournaments open to all attendees, and merchandise discounts for Visa cardholders on site.

Evo Las Vegas 2026 will feature 12 titles and a minimum guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 across all games. The six titles with the most registered competitors will compete in Arena Finals, while the remaining games will be featured on a Showcase Stage.

"Gaming has become one of the most powerful ways people connect, compete and build community around the world, and our partnership with Evo puts Visa at the center of that experience," said Frank Cooper III, Chief Marketing Officer at Visa.

Stuart Saw, CEO of RTS, which owns and operates Evo, said the organization will work to integrate Visa into events "in a way that feels natural and offers real value to our competitors and fans globally."

Beginning in 2027, the partnership is set to include community-focused initiatives directed at grassroots players and local tournaments. That same year, Evo plans to expand to Singapore.

Evo France is scheduled for October 9–11 at the Palais des Expos in Nice, France. Evo was established in 2002 and also holds events in Japan.
