L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has received two Foreign Military Sales orders to supply Falcon communication systems to Germany, supporting the country's Digitalization – Land Based Operations (D-LBO) program and special operations forces requirements, according to a company press release.
The orders are expected to be delivered this year. L3Harris said it has received multiple orders under the D-LBO program and will continue providing in-region support and expertise to its German customer.
Chris Aebli, President of Mission Critical Communications at L3Harris, said the Falcon systems are "software-defined" and will give German soldiers and special operators "more reliable connectivity under any circumstance" with the ability to add capability through software updates.
The company said the systems are designed to support interoperable communications with European Union and NATO allies. L3Harris described the orders as a continuation of its decades-long relationship with the German armed forces.
