Gilat wins multi-million dollar defense SATCOM terminal order

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: GILT) announced it received a multi-million dollar order to supply custom satellite communications terminals to a European Ministry of Defense, according to a company statement.

The terminals, produced by Gilat's DataPath subsidiary, are designed for multi-orbit operability and ruggedized construction intended for military field use. Delivery is expected within 12 months.

Nicole Robinson, President of Gilat DataPath, said: "This award reflects the continued trust defense organizations place in Gilat's field-proven technologies. As global defense requirements evolve, the need for resilient, flexible and mission-ready communications continues to accelerate."

Gilat did not disclose the identity of the European Ministry of Defense or the specific value of the contract beyond characterizing it as multi-million dollars.
