ATI Inc. (NYSE: ATI) has opened a new manufacturing facility in Chihuahua, Mexico, expanding its machining and inspection capabilities for aerospace engine components, according to a company statement.

The greenfield facility integrates advanced machining, nondestructive testing, finishing, and quality verification technologies in a single operation. It is designed to move aerospace components from forging through final inspection, supporting both legacy and next-generation engine programs.

ATI said the investment is included in its existing capital expenditure guidance. The company is working with customers to qualify parts and capabilities at the new site.

Kimberly A. Fields, Board Chair, President and CEO, said: "This investment strengthens a critical part of the aerospace value stream. As demand for advanced aerospace engines continues to grow, this expanded capacity enables ATI to deliver high-quality products with increased throughput and the differentiated performance our customers need."

The company said the facility adds to its integrated aerospace manufacturing network and is part of its strategy to expand capabilities in aerospace and defense markets.
