Sonos (Nasdaq: SONO) announced a partnership with Škoda to serve as the audio partner for the automaker's new flagship electric vehicle, the Škoda Peaq.
According to a press release, Sonos designed the in-cabin audio experience for the Peaq from the ground up. The system is available as part of an optional Relax Package and includes components custom-engineered for the vehicle.
Sonos CEO Tom Conrad said in a statement: "As listening flows beyond the front door, this partnership enables us to imagine how the Sonos system can too. We are excited to partner with Škoda to create a truly premium in-car listening experience for the Peaq."
The audio system includes spatial audio and is described as featuring bass, a front-focused soundstage, and balanced sound across all seats. All components were built specifically for the Peaq.
