Zeta Surgical begins TMS navigation treatments at Hope Therapeutics clinics

Zeta Surgical and Hope Therapeutics, a subsidiary of NRx Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: NRXP), announced the first patient treatment using the FDA-cleared Zeta TMS Navigation System at a Hope Therapeutics clinic in Sarasota, Florida.

Hope Therapeutics has installed Zeta TMS Navigation Systems at clinics in both West Palm Beach and Sarasota, with patient treatments beginning at both locations in the week of June 23, 2026.

The Zeta TMS Navigation System uses the company's RealTrack technology, which applies artificial intelligence and computer vision to register a patient's MRI or CT imaging to their facial anatomy in under two minutes. The system tracks the position of the transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) coil relative to a planned brain target with what the company describes as sub-millimetric accuracy, without the use of markers.

TMS is a non-invasive therapy used primarily for treatment-resistant depression, a condition that affects approximately one-third of patients with major depressive disorder. It is also used for obsessive-compulsive disorder and other neuropsychiatric conditions.

At Hope Therapeutics, the system has been incorporated into outpatient TMS workflows for eligible patients, including those receiving treatment for major depressive disorder.

Raahil Sha, co-founder and chief technology officer of Zeta Surgical, said the first patient treatments represent "a major milestone in bringing surgical-grade accuracy to the TMS clinic."

Dr. Rebecca Cohen, medical director of Hope Therapeutics, said the technology provides "increased accuracy, reliability and personalized care" for patients across the clinic network.
