Gridline, an Atlanta-based private markets platform, announced a technology integration with Hamilton Lane (Nasdaq: HLNE) to add private markets benchmarking capabilities to its AI-powered diligence product, AltComply.
Launched in March 2026, AltComply is designed for registered investment advisors, multi-family offices and private banks. The integration draws on Hamilton Lane's proprietary fund-level data, allowing investment teams to benchmark fund managers against peer groups and vintage-year cohorts as part of their due diligence process.
"One of the most important steps in institutional-quality due diligence is understanding how a fund manager's performance compares against relevant peers over time," said Peter Bilali, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder of Gridline. "Without that context, investors are often flying blind when evaluating managers."
Griff Norville, Head of Technology Solutions at Hamilton Lane, said the partnership is aimed at integrating benchmarking data into advisors' existing workflows to support investment decision-making.
According to Gridline, the integration saves firms an average of 10 hours per fund evaluated using AltComply. Existing AltComply users will receive access to the new benchmarking features.
Hamilton Lane reported $1 trillion in assets under management and supervision as of March 31, 2026, comprising $141.8 billion in discretionary assets and $905.3 billion in non-discretionary assets.
