Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH) announced the launch of its IQ9N microinverter for residential solar installations in the United States, according to a company press release dated June 23, 2026.
The IQ9N microinverter uses gallium nitride (GaN) technology and carries a 97.5% CEC weighted efficiency rating, with a peak efficiency of up to 97.8%. The product supports 16 A of continuous DC current and 427 VA of continuous output power, and comes with a 25-year limited warranty.
The IQ9N is backward compatible with Enphase's IQ7 and IQ8 series microinverters and IQ batteries, allowing existing Enphase system owners to expand using the same installation methods and accessories.
The product is rated NEMA Type 6, features a double-insulated, corrosion-resistant polymer housing, and operates across a temperature range of -40°C to +65°C. It includes built-in rapid shutdown capability and supports panel-level monitoring through the Enphase App.
Units manufactured in U.S. facilities using domestic content are designed to be compliant with Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) standards under IRS Notice 2025-08, potentially qualifying eligible projects for domestic content bonus tax credits. The products also comply with Buy American Act standards for federal direct procurement contracts.
"IQ9N Microinverters combine our proven distributed architecture with GaN technology and support for the latest panels, giving homeowners the most powerful, efficient, and reliable Enphase microinverter we've ever built," said Aaron Gordon, senior vice president and general manager of the systems business unit at Enphase Energy.
The IQ9N microinverter is available through Enphase distribution partners in the United States. Enphase is based in Fremont, California.
