Drive Group and Innoviz target $20M in LiDAR security sales by 2027

Drive Group, an Israeli transportation and infrastructure company, and Innoviz Technologies (NASDAQ: INVZ) have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to integrate Innoviz's InnovizSMART LiDAR sensors into Drive Group's Barak LightGuard system, according to a press release issued June 23, 2026.

As part of the agreement, Drive Group issued an upfront purchase order for InnovizSMART units. The two companies have set a combined sales target of $20 million by the end of 2027, targeting applications in drone localization, critical infrastructure protection, border security, and intelligent transportation systems.

The Barak LightGuard system was developed by Barak 555, a subsidiary of Drive Group, and combines Innoviz's InnovizSMART LiDAR sensor with video cameras and AI-based analytics software from Cogniteam. The system can detect and classify objects — including humans, vehicles, and animals — at distances of up to approximately 1,000 meters.

Eldar Cegla, CFO of Innoviz Technologies, said: "We are pleased to see this commercial validation of InnovizSMART for the perimeter security and intelligent transportation applications. The collaboration with Drive Group provides a foundation for building a meaningful revenue stream, with a targeted $20 million sales opportunity over the course of the next 1.5 years."

Drive Group comprises six subsidiaries operating in transportation and infrastructure in Israel and is held by Shikun & Binui and Egged Holdings. Innoviz Technologies supplies LiDAR technology to automotive manufacturers and operates across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
