BTQ Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq: BTQ) has appointed Brandt Pasco as U.S. Strategic Advisor for Post-Quantum Cryptography and Security, according to a company statement issued June 23, 2026.

Pasco will focus on BTQ's engagement with U.S. government stakeholders, public-sector agencies, national security organizations, and strategic industry partners. His responsibilities include identifying public-private partnership opportunities and supporting policy engagement across BTQ's portfolio, which includes post-quantum security, cryptographic acceleration, digital asset infrastructure, and quantum software.

The appointment follows two executive orders issued by the White House on June 22, 2026, titled "Ushering in the Next Frontier of Quantum Innovation" and "Securing the Nation Against Advanced Cryptographic Attacks." The orders aim to accelerate U.S. quantum computing leadership and direct federal agencies to migrate high-value systems to NIST-approved post-quantum cryptography standards.

Pasco brings more than two decades of experience spanning government, law, private equity, and venture capital. He spent approximately 15 years in roles within the U.S. Congress, Department of Defense, and National Security Council, and later served as Associate General Counsel at In-Q-Tel, Inc., a venture capital organization focused on national security technologies. He previously served as General Counsel of a company that grew to more than $1 billion in contracts. He currently leads Pasco & Associates.

"Brandt brings a rare combination of public-sector experience, national security perspective, regulatory knowledge, and private-market execution," said Olivier Roussy Newton, CEO of BTQ Technologies.

Pasco holds a J.D. from Georgetown University, a Master's degree from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas.
