Roadzen Inc. (Nasdaq: RDZN) announced that its drivebuddyAI unit has secured an agreement valued at approximately $5.3 million (₹50 crore) with an unnamed Indian electric commercial vehicle fleet operator to deploy its six-camera advanced driver assistance system across 3,600 electric buses and trucks.
The deployment covers vehicles operating in public transportation, seaport logistics, mining, and industrial transportation, including electric city bus fleets serving major Indian metros. An initial deployment of 1,300 vehicles is planned, with the full 3,600-unit rollout expected over the course of the year.
According to the company, the deal marks the second major fleet order in Roadzen's fiscal year 2027. Last month, the company announced a separate contract to equip 3,000 heavy-duty trucks in the steel and infrastructure sector with the same six-camera system.
The drivebuddyAI platform combines ADAS, driver monitoring, video telematics, and predictive risk tools. The company claims the system has been trained on more than 6.4 billion kilometers of driving data and states it is the only ADAS solution certified under India's AIS-184 commercial vehicle safety standard. The company also states the platform meets requirements under the EU's General Safety Regulation 2019/2144 and Euro NCAP protocols.
Rohan Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Roadzen, said the company "believes we are just getting started, and the opportunity is global," citing growth catalysts across India, Europe, and other markets.
Nisarg Pandya, Founder and CEO of drivebuddyAI, noted the customer selected the platform following a competitive evaluation conducted in live fleet conditions.
