Domino's Pizza (Nasdaq: DPZ) announced that Joe Jordan, currently Chief Operating Officer and President of Domino's U.S., will become Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2026, succeeding Russell Weiner, who plans to retire from the role.
Jordan, who has held leadership positions at Domino's for nearly 15 years spanning marketing, U.S. and international operations, technology, and franchisee support, will also join the company's Board of Directors upon assuming the CEO role.
Weiner will transition to Executive Chairman Designate on October 1, 2026, and is expected to become Executive Chairman following the company's 2027 annual shareholder meeting. During his tenure as CEO, Domino's recorded net store growth of more than 3,200 locations, increased global retail sales by nearly $3 billion, and achieved close to a 30% increase in operating income, according to the company's statement.
David Brandon, who currently serves as Executive Chairman, will retire from the board and not stand for reelection at the 2027 annual shareholder meeting, concluding 28 years of service to Domino's. Brandon has served as Chairman since 1999 and also previously held the CEO role from 1999 to 2010.
"Joe is a proven leader whose experience spans virtually every aspect of our business," Brandon said. "The Board unanimously concluded that Joe is the right leader to serve as Domino's next CEO."
"I am honored by the Board's confidence and grateful for the opportunity to lead Domino's," Jordan said, adding that he looks forward to "reaccelerating growth and continuing to deliver delicious pizza and exceptional value to customers worldwide."
Domino's operates more than 22,300 stores in over 90 markets and reported global retail sales of over $20.4 billion in the trailing four quarters ended March 22, 2026. Independent franchise owners account for 99% of the company's locations.
