EchoStar Corporation announced it will change its Nasdaq stock ticker symbol from "SATS" to "ECHO," with the new symbol set to begin trading on June 24, 2026.
The company said the ticker change will have no effect on its legal name, capital structure, or shareholder rights. Existing stock certificates will remain valid, and shares held in book-entry form or through brokers will be updated automatically, requiring no action from current shareholders.
"We have spent decades building brands that challenge the status quo and deliver real value to customers," said Charlie Ergen, Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board. "Changing our stock ticker to 'ECHO' represents our growth from a pure-play satellite company to a global corporate leader with a diverse set of connectivity assets."
EchoStar, the parent company of DISH Network, Boost Mobile, Sling TV, and Hughes Network Systems, was originally founded in 1980. The company separated from DISH Network in 2008 as an independent publicly traded entity under the "SATS" ticker. EchoStar and DISH Network merged in December 2023, trading under a single stock ticker.
The CUSIP number for EchoStar's common stock will not be affected by the symbol change.
