Sweetgreen (NYSE: SG) is opening its first Nashville restaurant on June 30 at 341 11th Avenue South in the Gulch neighborhood, marking the chain's debut in Tennessee.
The 2,755-square-foot location will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., serving salads, warm bowls, protein plates, wraps and sides. The menu will include existing items such as the Harvest Bowl and Crispy Rice Bowl, as well as new summer offerings including the Tomato Panzanella, Picnic Bowl and Summer Market Bowl.
"Choosing where to grow is one of the most important decisions we make, and Nashville was an easy one," said Ryan Slemons, Chief Development Officer at Sweetgreen. "We're not just opening a restaurant here; we're investing in a community we believe in and planning to be a great neighbor for the long haul."
On opening day, Sweetgreen said it will donate a bowl to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee for every meal purchased. The first 50 guests in line at 10 a.m. will receive a complimentary entree valued at up to $20.
A series of community events is planned around the opening, including a soft preview on June 26 and 27, a grand opening celebration on June 30 with live music, and additional activations through July 11 featuring local business partnerships.
Sweetgreen operates more than 285 locations nationwide, according to the company.
